This park is the product of 15 months of fund raising and community organization that began in September 1996 with a Juneau/Douglas High School Phoenix Program project and is culminating with the construction of a 7500 square foot facility for skateboarding and in-line skating. Fund raising and organizing is ongoing through the Skate Board an advisory board to the Parks and Recreation Department. This spring and summer the site will be landscaped and an art/painting project will be organized

The Pipeline Skate Park is located at 2400 Mendenhall Loop Road. The facility is located within the Jackie Renniger Park, which in the past has been called Bus Barn Park
